Avalon Raises Cash for Red Nose Day

Over 40 members of staff at Avalon, one of Europe’s leading providers of pre-paid funeral plans, raised over £250 for Red Nose Day.

Games, quizzes, a raffle and a cake sale were held at the company’s UK headquarters in Handforth Dean, Wilmslow, Cheshire, with braver participants putting themselves forward for a sponsored leg wax.

Ruth Billman, Business Development Assistant at Avalon, who organised the fundraising events, said: “Everyone joined in and the day was a lot of fun. Most importantly, we raised £252.42 for a great cause.”

The team at Avalon are keen fundraisers, previously raising money for Children in Need, Macmillan Cancer Support and Sport Relief. The company is also planning further activities, with a group of female members of staff set to participate in the Pretty Muddy 5k Race for Life in Tatton Park, Cheshire in June 2015.
