Tributes’ willow coffins range gains FFMA certification

Tributes’ willow coffins range has gained The Funeral Furnishing Manufacturer’s Association’s (FFMA) certification. The Coffin Certification Standard ensures that all coffins presented for cremation are of a desired standard and deemed to be fit for purpose.

The UK coffin and casket certification scheme works in partnership with Intertek, a leading Total Quality Assurance provider.

The willow coffins’ two ply-wood bases provide extra strength and rigidity as well as ensuring the handles are load bearing. These have been weight tested to 187.5kg over a 24 hour period proving to be one of the strongest willow coffins available for funeral directors.

Having been involved with the FFMA working party, Adam Masters, Tributes sales director, said: “It has always been my goal to gain the FFMA certification stamp for our range of coffins, so as soon as the scheme went live, I submitted our Willow and Willow & Bulrush coffins for testing.

“The certification stamp and the testing reports available on the FFMA website demonstrates these coffins are fit for purpose and will provide the re-assurance needed to funeral directors and crematorium operatives alike. This is a great step forward for our industry and the FFMA coffin certification scheme is the only reputable scheme worth considering for coffin and casket manufacturers.

“Tributes customer service is second to none and we provide a next day delivery service for all of our coffins (with the exception of sprayed coffins). All funeral directors after trying our coffins for the first time comment that they would always continue to offer our coffins to families.”
