Deceased Online expands its database

Deceased Online has expanded its database and now offers records for two cemeteries managed by East Staffordshire Borough Council, in the English West Midlands.

This new collection dates from 1866 to 1997 and includes burial registers and grave details. It features Stapenhill Cemetery and all records for the newer Rolleston Cemetery for the period 1975 to 2014

The major site is the historic Stapenhill Cemetery in Burton on Trent, which opened almost exactly 150 years ago. Its many records reflect 19th century industries, such as, numerous names associated with Burton’s beer and brewing heritage. During much of the 19th and early 20th centuries, Burton was regarded as Britain’s ‘beer capital’ and featured dozens of major breweries.

Other Staffordshire records available on Deceased Online include The National Archives collection for sites in Rugeley, Stafford, and Tipton, as well as the Church of the Holy Trinity in Burton on Trent.
