‘Hearse Pull’ raises money for Poppy Appeal

For the third year running, Manchester-based funeral directors Kane Funeral Services has held its annual ‘Hearse Pull’ to raise money for the Poppy Appeal.

The event, which was held on Saturday 2nd November, was organised by owner Paul Kane, and staff from all five branches of Kane Funeral Services were joined by volunteers from the local British Legion to pull a horse-drawn hearse on a 15-mile course.

The participants, who carried on through torrential rain to complete the course in five hours, stopped at the Cenotaph in Manchester’s St. Peters Square for a short service of remembrance before carrying on the journey.
