Funeral home worker spends night in the cells
Dennis Eales, a driver/bearer for a funeral home in Lancaster spent five hours behind bars in aid of the Prince’s Trust charity.
Dennis, a former policeman, turned himself into Lancaster Police Station at 9pm before being cuffed and led to the cells for his five hour incarceration. His co-workers at the funeral home clubbed together to raise over £120 and bail him out.
Upon his 2am release, Dennis remarked: “I had been in the prison service and the police for years, and after spending five hours in there I really don’t know how people manage in a prison cell. I was quite happy to be released and very thankful when it was over.”
