Debbie Smith, CEO of Westerleigh Group, said: “To be named as finalists for awards which are so highly respected is one of the strongest endorsements we could receive for the exceptional care we strive to provide every day. We are very proud of our teams at West Berkshire and Great Glen crematoria, led by Stephanie Langford and Aleksandra Harris respectively, for securing a place in the finals.

“We also wish the very best of best of luck to Stephanie in her Yearly Achievement Award nomination, in recognition of her commitment to the bereaved, leading the transformation of the crematorium and its grounds as well as her perseverance in studying for the ICCM diploma in cemetery and crematorium management.”

She added: “All the colleagues who work at the nominated crematoria are passionate about the families they serve and providing them with the very best care at all times. It is very humbling to see them recognised in this way. Whatever happens on the awards night, they are already winners to all of us here at Westerleigh Group.

“Ultimately, it is the families we serve who are the winners, because recognition like this reinforces our belief about the quality of our facilities, our services and, of course, our people.”

Westerleigh Group is one of the UK’s largest independent owners and operators of crematoria and cemeteries, with 38 sites across England, Scotland and Wales, all set within landscaped gardens of remembrance which provide pleasant, peaceful places for people to visit and reflect.
