West Berkshire Crematorium announces September open day
Local people will have the chance to tour the facilities and take a walk in the landscaped memorial gardens, as well as to meet the crematorium team
West Berkshire Crematorium has issued an open invitation to local people to visit its grounds on Monday 18 September.
The crematorium, which is operated by Westerleigh Group, will be hosting a community open day between 3pm and 7pm to allow people from West Berkshire and the surrounding communities to take a tour of the site.
Local people will have the chance to tour the facilities and take a walk in the landscaped memorial gardens, as well as to meet the crematorium team and find out more about the work they do and the care they provide to make each service uniquely personal.
According to the crematorium, visitors will also be able to take a tour of the crematory and other facilities, if they wish.
Stephanie Langford, manager of West Berkshire Crematorium, said: “Our open day offers an opportunity for anyone to come and visit our beautiful site and ask any questions they might have, in an informal setting, about what we do here and the support we provide to bereaved families.
“It’s a chance for people to find out about the wide range of farewell services we offer, the exceptional care we provide, and the ways in which we work with families to provide services which are uniquely personal to their loved one.”
She added: “No appointment is necessary for the open day, and we very much look forward to welcoming local families to our lovely grounds.”
Westerleigh Group is one of the UK’s largest independent owners and operators of crematoria and cemeteries, with 38 sites in England, Scotland and Wales, all set within landscaped gardens of remembrance for people to visit and reflect.
