Ewan Reynolds from Edinburgh has been awarded the national title of ‘Funeral Arranger Of The Year’ at this year’s Good Funeral Awards.
Reynolds, who has been involved in the funeral profession since 2007 on a part-time and casual basis, was awarded the title at the event held at Highcliff Marriot Hotel.
Commenting on the award, Reynolds said: “I am honoured that I have been nominated for this award, Since I was 17-years-old I have been involved in all aspects of the funeral profession and I successfully achieved a highly recognised training certificate which I funded myself a few years ago.
“I am delighted that a few people including my family have seen how much this type of work means to me by putting my name forward, this job isn’t for everyone, oou either love it or you hate it. My future plan is to be self-employed and run my own independent funeral business.”
Brian Jenner, organiser of the event, added: “The Good Funeral Awards recognise exceptional service to bereaved people from all aspects of the funeral industry and supporting services. By progressing this far, Ewan has already demonstrated outstanding professionalism, empathy and a willingness to go the extra mile for bereaved families.”
