Held at the Colne Valley Golf Club in Earls Colne, Essex, the charity golf day has been hosted by the funeral director for the past nine years.

This year’s event brought in a record total, which has been distributed between local charities the St Helena Hospice; Braintree Crossroads Adult Carers; Braintree District MENCAP; the Halstead Day Centre minibus appeal; the Farleigh Hospice HOP bus; CRUSE; and Fiona and Kathy’s cycle ride through India for Breast Cancer Research.

A spokesperson for Daniel Robinson & Sons said: “A huge thank you to everyone who donated a tombola or auction item, sponsored a hole or came along and played on the day.”
