Anderson Maguire invests nearly £100,000 in embalming facility
Anderson Maguire Funeral Directors has recently invested nearly £100,000 to provide the largest embalming facility in Scotland by a privately-owned family funeral director.
Dom Maguire, Chairman of Anderson Maguire, commented: “Our embalming facility has been upgraded with new embalming stations and air-conditioned units. We have also increased our fridge capacity where we can now accommodate up to 50 deceased people in environmentally safe and cooled conditions.
“This follows a strong year of growth for Anderson Maguire and positions us as the only independent family funeral firm in Scotland operating the largest central mortuary facility, servicing all of our 11 funeral homes.”
“We continually invest in our people, premises and facilities to ensure that we provide the best possible service. The core value of every decision we make is for the betterment of the families in our care.
“As well as winning numerous industry awards recognising our level of professionalism, this past 12 months has been incredibly rewarding for all the team.
“One of our funeral directors has become one of only a small number of Approved NAFD (National Association of Funeral Directors) Trainers in Scotland and we are on track to have all our staff NAFD certified within the next few years. We also provide NAFD courses in Funeral Arranging and Funeral Directing to the funeral profession in Scotland.
“We are also very proactive in our Corporate Social Responsibility programme and The Anderson Maguire Foundation has been instrumental in helping numerous community programmes come to fruition in the last 12 months. We are very conscious, as a service provider, that it is the communities in which we work who come to us at their hour of need and we are delighted to be able to reciprocate when possible.”
