A New Jersey teenager has made headlines after arriving at her high school prom in a coffin. Aspiring funeral director Megan Flaherty appeared in a hearse driven by family friend and funeral professional, reported NJ.com.

Upon reaching the venue the driver, Dennis McGee, removed the coffin containing Megan Flaherty from the vehicle so she could be met by her prom date.

Megan has already begun to assist Dennis and aims to attend Mercer County Community College’s funeral service program following graduation. Speaking to NJ.com, Megan said: “It’s a natural thing of life”

“She just really took to it”, added her mother. “She thought it was an honourable thing and an honourable way to make a living.”
