New memorial jewellery range from the Woodland Trust
The Woodland Trust, the UK’s largest woodland conservation charity, has recently launched a range of unique memorial keepsake jewellery designed to discreetly house a loved one’s ashes.
The range comprises of cufflinks, brooches, necklaces and bracelet beads, featuring the Woodland Trust oak leaf and made from sterling silver with gold and diamante embellishments. All jewellery pieces have an easily accessible compartment which allows for immediate interment of ashes to offer comfort for the bereaved and the ability to keep their loved one close by at all times.
The new range of Woodland Trust memorial products is exclusive to the charity. All money raised from the sale of these items will go towards the Trust’s charitable aims of protecting, restoring and creating woodland.
Coral Banks, marketing and communications manager for products at the Woodland Trust explained: “we want people to feel like some good is coming out of something so difficult. By providing the opportunity to give to charity by buying a Woodland Trust in-memoriam product, we hope the bereavement process will be made a little easier for our supporters.”
The Woodland Trust is also launching eco-friendly biodegradable Geos urns featuring the Woodland Trust oak leaf logo. The urns are designed to be buried with a seed or sapling, allowing the growth of a memorial tree. The Trust will be supplying a complimentary Woodland Trust oak tree with each order of the Geos Urn.
Coral commented, “We’re really proud to be the first UK charity offering these kinds of products. The links between life, death and trees are especially poignant, and being able to supply these products just made sense to us.”
