Channel 4 documents ‘Flashy Funerals’ in new programme

A new one-off documentary on Channel 4 reveals an insight into families who spend extravagant amounts on a funeral for their loved one.

Flashy Funerals, which first aired on 12th April, follows three different funerals and shows some of the more expensive options available to the public including caskets worth £20,000.

Matthew Lymn Rose, MD of A.W Lymn took part in the programme, helping with a traveler funeral.
He said: “As a fifth generation family funeral business, when we were contacted about a possible new programme for Channel 4 showcasing some of the biggest and most expensive funeral services around, we were more than happy to share some of the experience gained over our 109 years.

“The funerals the show focused on are only a small part of what we do as a business, but do illustrate the lengths we’ll go to for any particular client. As I was quoted as saying ‘The answer is yes, now what is the question’ is the ethos we encourage throughout our staff, enabling them to offer funerals of all kinds to suit the needs, and budgets, of the diverse communities we serve”.
