Owens Funeral Directors receives Funeral Guide award
In the local community, the family running the funeral service are known to ‘go above and beyond’ for the bereaved
Owens Funeral Directors based in Liscard Village, Wirral, has received a Five-Star Award from The Funeral Guide for its “outstanding service and attention to detail” ahead of its fifth birthday.
The guide presented the award to the funeral provider after the family-run business reached its 175 five-star reviews on the comparison site, which puts them at the top in Wirral for popularity and price.
In the local community, the family running the funeral service are known to “go above and beyond” for the bereaved, with one of its most popular services being a memory tree in Liscard. It features a personal bauble dedicated to deceased loved ones they have looked after.
Lorraine, who runs Owens Funeral Directors with her daughter and husband, told the Wirral Globe: “It’s a great honour for myself, my husband Mike, our daughter Alex and the team to be recognised in such a way for our fifth birthday. More importantly, it fills us with so much pride when we hear the wonderful words from the people we help.
“Whereas we know our efforts can’t bring their loved one back, we do everything we can to help them in their process of grief.”
The business also provides families with forget me not seeds and provides a bespoke jewellery service where Alex handcrafts ashes into personalised pieces.
They also have a completely self-funding memorial service every December for all the families who have lost loved ones, which takes place at St. Alban’s church in Wallasey and features photographs on the altar and a choir.
