The new plots form part of a £370k investment into the grounds which will also see the opening of on site Woodside Family Funeral Directors and the upgrading of Martyr’s Chapel

Woodside Family Funeral Directors in Paisley, Scotland has announced that 90 new burial plots will be made available at Woodside Cemetery and Crematorium for the first time in 25 years.

The new plots form part of a £370k investment into the grounds which will also see the opening of an on site Woodside Family Funeral Directors and the upgrading of Martyr’s Chapel.

Robert MacLachlan, group CEO of The Independent Family Funeral Directors, said the move “follows decades of enquiries from the public regarding burial space”.

He said: “We receive numerous enquiries every month, but the layout and lack of space meant that, after 1995, there were no more plots available.

From Saturday the 24 of April everyone who has registered interest will be invited by appointment to view and purchase the plots.
