Jennifer Ashe and Son opens sixth branch in Wolverhampton
The family-run company will be holding an open day on Saturday 14 September to give members of the public the opportunity to meet the team in person
Jennifer Ashe and Son has announced the opening of its sixth funeral home branch in Oxley, Wolverhampton.
The new branch, which is located in the former bank premises on Three Tuns Parade, Ford Houses, has undergone an extensive refit to make it fully operational for the purposes of a funeral home.
The independent family-run company will be holding an open day on Saturday 14 September to give guests and members of the public the opportunity to browse the new branch, meet the team in person, and ask questions about funerals and funeral planning.
Oxley joins the other existing Jennifer Ashe branches in Willenhall, Brownhills, Hednesford, Walsall and Lichfield, all of which opened within eight years.
John Ashe, managing director of Jennifer Ashe and Son, said: “We have had our eye on this site in Oxley for a very long time. Initially, we had viewed the site back in 2019, but at the time it made sense for us to focus on making our Willenhall HQ a success.
“Fast-forward five years, and it is great to be able to add a new branch to our five existing bases across the Black Country and Staffordshire.”
He added: “Opening at Oxley allows us to grow our caring and supportive service for families at their time of utmost need, and we are looking forward to meeting the local community in September.”
Jimmy Smith, Jennifer Ashe funeral director, who has experience of working in the Oxley area, said: “Having provided services for families in the region before, I know the opening of a new branch will be welcome locally.
“The building itself is beautiful, and I’m excited to see the finished results, once the renovation work has been completed.”
