SAIF launches caring new benefit for Associate member employees
UK funeral trade association SAIF is to extend its SAIF Care service to a new audience in 2023.
The counselling service, provided in partnership with experts at Professional Help, is being made available to employees of the Society’s Associate members.
It means that any colleague at a SAIF Associate member firm can take advantage of the service whether they’re facing bereavement, work stress, relationship breakdown or other life challenges that impact upon mental health.
SAIF Care can be accessed via a dedicated telephone helpline, where advice can be offered and counselling services booked. The service can also be accessed via email, or the SAIF Care Chat feature.
SAIF Care launched in 2018 in a partnership between SAIF and counselling experts Professional Help. Its aim is to support people experiencing challenging grief journeys, but also includes staff who are facing distress at work, home or through other personal circumstances.
SAIF chief executive Terry Tennens said: “SAIF Care has proven invaluable to many families in the care of SAIF independent funeral directors.
“So, I’m really pleased to be able to offer this benefit to employees of SAIF Associate member businesses, such as coffin manufacturers, mortuary specialists and vehicle suppliers. It’s just one way SAIF is helping its Associate members – by enabling them to offer enhanced staff benefits that improve engagement and retention amongst valued colleagues.”
