A.W. Lymn The Family Funeral Service has expanded its in-house florist team with five new starters in a bid to meet the “growing” demand for flower tributes across all occasions.
Joining the team is Fiona Moore as florist manager, while Sam Taylor, Marie French and Jacqueline Kennedy join as florists, and Olivia Taylor as a trainee florist. Combined, the team has almost 50 years’ experience in the florist industry.
City Flowers is the in-house floristry department of A.W. Lymn The Family Funeral Service. It supplies the floral arrangements to all 27 of the business’ funeral homes across Nottinghamshire and South Derbyshire, as well as for funerals conducted by other funeral businesses.
In January 2021, the florist had to place a three-day notice on all floral tributes as the supply of flowers into the UK ground to a halt as borders closed. A combination of Covid-19 restrictions and delays due to Brexit meant City Flowers’ source of blooms was suspended, although the team managed to fulfil all orders.
