Dignity invests £375,000 in Earl of Plymouth refurbishment
The improvements, which took five months to finalise, include two new arrangement rooms, two new chapels of rest, and a new family area

Dignity Funerals has announced the completion of £375,000 worth of refurbishment work at Earl of Plymouth Funeral Directors.
The Plymouth business was formed by Bill Earl in 1947, but has now been owned by Dignity for a number of years.
The improvements, which took five months to finalise, include two new arrangement rooms, two new chapels of rest, and a new family area where mourners can compose their thoughts.
Moreover, both the interior and exterior of the premises have been redecorated, with new furniture, carpets, and furnishings added to the site.
Matt Reynolds, funeral director, said: “This investment has really brought the branch up to date and is the largest in Dignity’s 19-year history.
“The reaction from our clients has been very positive and they appreciate the modern, lighter ambience and comfortable surroundings that we now offer.”
He added that the refurbishments will allow Dignity to “continue providing a quality service” for those in the surrounding area.
Earl of Plymouth Funeral Directors is set to reopen in the Summer, with a blessing conducted by local religious and community leaders.
