JH Way Funeral Services has opened its new branch in Pellew Arcade, Teignmouth, and will work alongside its sister branch based in Dawlish.
It will provide local families with funeral arranging facilities and a chapel of rest where funeral services can also be held.
The opening, was attended by former owners John and Wendy Way, funeral director Caz Denning and the Funeral Partners team presented cheques for £100 to the Mayor for each of his three charities: Alice Cross Centre for the elderly, arts charity the Helen Foundation and Homeless in Teignbridge Support (HITS).
The official opening was also attended by invited guests from the local area and included a dedication of the chapel of rest by Father Mark Skelton from Our Lady and St Patrick Church, Rev Roderick Withnell from the Haldon Team Ministry, Rev Jamie Redfern, Minister of Teignmouth Baptist Church, Rev Annie Church, Rector of Shaldon Parish and Rev Catherine Wagstaff of Teignmouth Methodist Church.
