Brentwood-based manufacturer of eco-friendly coffins, Ecocoffin.com, have announced that the FFMA have given the company its approval to and accredited its ‘Eclipse’ range of rattan and seagrass coffins.

Ian Page, business development director, said: “All our coffins are constructed in the same way, 100 percent biodegradable (no metal or plastic) and tested to a weight of 180kg (20st).

“We can deliver the product within 24/48hrs (c.300 units in one container), or in much smaller quantities, even singles.”

The Eclipse range of coffins is currently available in two sizes and styles. It is built in the company’s factory in Indonesia to a quality assurance standard.

The manufacturer’s warehouses are located close to the main roads A127 and M25, so that it can conveniently deliver to the south east of England.
