In Memory giving with Alzheimer’s Society

Dementia is the UK’s biggest killer, and the greatest health and social challenge of our time. A million people currently live with dementia in the UK – and if we do nothing, by 2040 there will be 43% more people living with dementia in the UK.At Alzheimer’s Society, we’re the UK’s leading dementia charity and the only one to tackle all aspects of dementia by giving help and hope to people living with dementia today and in the future.

We’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives – that’s why we’re backing the world’s brightest minds and funding research projects to find the best ways to get early diagnosis, innovate care and develop targeted treatments.

We hold decision-makers to account, and work with thousands of campaigners to make dementia the priority it should be.

Through our support line, online and print information, expert dementia advisers and online community, we also give advice and practical guidance for the next steps as people living with dementia navigate the hardest times of their lives.

Donations to Alzheimer’s Society make a world of difference to ensure we continue the momentum of our work and the impact we make to the lives of people affected by dementia.

Donating or fundraising in someone’s memory is a special and meaningful way to remember a loved one – honouring their life and giving hope to others who have dementia at the same time.

We know that for many donors whose motivation it is to give in memory, this is a vital part of their grieving process.

Our supporters can choose to:

  • set up an online tribute fund
  • make a one-off donation
  • or give through a funeral collection

We also accept donations via our recycling services and accept a wide range of items including currency, clothing, jewellery, technology, stamps, cameras and cars.

At Alzheimer’s Society we make sure supporters are appropriately thanked and sensitively supported through their fundraising for us. At a very difficult time, we give people the recognition they deserve and let them know how appreciated their donation is.
