Dogs Trust: Leave a Love that Lives on

At Dogs Trust, our mission is to bring about the day when all dogs can enjoy a happy life, free from the threat of unnecessary destruction. We are committed to our promise that we will never put down a healthy dog.

Our generous supporters make it possible for us to take care of approximately 14,000 dogs across 21 rehoming centres located throughout the UK. And despite tough times, bereaved supporters have paid tribute to loved ones, contributing significantly to our cause. Your part in this story is instrumental to their unwavering support and it is clear that the dedication of funeral directors like you has made a meaningful impact. Last year, your efforts helped us raise an amazing amount of £829,000 through in-memory gifts, providing crucial support for our mission.

Thanks to these collective tributes, we have been able to offer second chances and happy endings to hundreds of dogs in our care. In 2023 alone, we were able to rehome over 12,000 dogs, finding them new families that can offer the care and stability they need to thrive in their new forever homes. Whilst these dogs wait to be matched with their forever family, our rehoming centres offer everything that these dogs need to get them back on their paws again – from thorough medical care and behavioural assessments to training, a comfortable bed, plenty of toys, lots of walks, and, most importantly, love and attention.

We also offer a Canine Care Card service that your clients could benefit from, it is completely free and can provide reassurance when planning for the future. By holding a Canine Care Card, it ensures that your client’s dog will be taken into our care if they pass away or are no longer able to take care of their canine companion.
