A.W Lymn driver retires after 18-year tenure

Ian Witham began his funeral career at Ilkeston Co-op Funeral Care in 1998, and then joined the group in 2003 as part of its purchase taking over six sites

A.W. Lymn has announced that funeral director Ian Witham has retired after 18 years of service as a hearse driver

Witham began his funeral career at Ilkeston Co-op Funeral Care in 1998, and then joined the group in 2003 as part of its purchase taking over six sites.

Before entering the funeral industry, he previously had a mixed career managing pubs and taxi driving.

Nigel Lymn Rose, company chairman, said: “We wish Ian all the best in his retirement. We are very grateful for his service over the years as he has been a crucial member of the A.W. Lymn team, providing a quality service for our clients.
